Change for Equality: According to reports provided to the site of Change for Equality, Zeinab Bayazidi, women’s rights activist, member of the Human Rights Organization of Kurdistan and a member of the One Million Signatures Campaign in the city of Mahabad in Kurdistan Province, was arrested on Wednesday 9th of July, 2008. The arrest of Zeinab was confirmed through a telephone conversation with her family members. According to her family, on Saturday July 5, 2008 Zeinab was summoned by telephone for interrogation, which lasted several hours. She was told to return for interrogation again on Wednesday July 9, 2008. After three hours of interrogation on Wednesday, she was arrested on order of the courts and transferred to the detention center in Mahabad which is managed by the Ministry of Information and Security.
